Ocean Reef Optical Lens Support Frame

The Ocean Reef Optical Lens Support Frame has been improved in this 2.0 version – the Frame is also equipped with 2 arms that can be snapped on and off the frame which could be used as a handy, resistant, pair of glasses!

Lenses are not include as you have a few options depending on the level of correction you need.

  • Little to no astigmatism - Use the Ocean Reef, drop-in, diopter lenses which are available in powers from -1.0 to -4.0
  • Astigmatism - Take the frame to your trusted optician to purchase and fit the type of corrective lens that match your Rx.

The Optical Lens frame is compatible with the following full face snorkeling and diving masks:

  • Ocean Reef Aria snorkeling mask
  • SeaVUDry snorkeling mask
  • Easybreath full face snorkeling mask
  • Ocean Reef IDMs (Integrated Diving Mask)
    • Iron full face diving mask
    • Predator series full face diving mask
    • Space series full face diving mask

Your Rx for your eyeglass will help determine the power correction you will need.

SPH CYL AXIS PRISM Add PD
OS -2.50 075 136   +2.00 31.5
OD -3.00 100 025   +2.00 31.5

What does all this mean:

  • OS - Left Eye
  • OD - Right Eye
  • SPH (Sphere): The strength of your Rx expressed in diopters.  Pay close attention to the plus (+) or minus (-) signs.
  • CYL (Cylinder): The numbers show the strength of your astigmatism. If you see SPH or Sphere then you do not have an astigmatism.
  • AXIS: Rotation to correct your astigmatism
  • ADD: If you have a bifocal this is the amount of power to be added
  • PD (Pupillary Distance): Measurement in mm between the center of your pupils.  There are 2 common ways it can be written - PD:31.5/31.5 (like show above) or PD: 63

Ordering Tips:

  • SPH: If you have a quarter diopter (.25) then we recommend you go down and a three quarter diopter (.75) then go up.  For example: -2.75 should go to -3.0.  Pay close attention to the plus (+) or minus (-) signs.
  • CYL & AXIS:  If your Rx shows that you have an astigmatism then you will most likely want to have a custom lens made that matches your Rx.  You can contact us for options or take the Ocean Reef Optical Lens Support Frame to your trusted optician to purchase and fit the type of corrective lens you will need
