Return and Refund Policy for Friends or Foes
You have 30 days to return an item from the date you received it. Our Friends receive grace so, if it is a day or two late, we won’t scream at you. We will smile and return your item. After all, we’re friends.
Want a different color, size, or maybe even style? No problem! Just pack everything (tags, parts, manuals, etc) up in as received condition and ship it back, and we will ship you the new product. Exchanges will result in additional shipping charges.
Defective or incorrect items:
If a product is received defective or the product you ordered is not what you received, please contact us immediately so that we can make it right. If it was damaged because of mishandling by the shipper, please see our shipping page for instructions. Friends, understand that if it is defective we must be able to duplicate the problem. If it leaks for you, then it should leak for us. If you sat on it and broke it or that especially vicious Angel fish chewed it up then dig a hole in your yard, put the item in it, add some fertilizer and tomato seeds and enjoy your tomatoes in the spring.
Store Credit: Comes with a gift! (That can’t be right - can it?)
Heck, we don’t want our friends to go through the hassle of returning something. And we do our best to make sure you don’t have to. Decided you don't want it anymore? Wife saw your credit card bill and you are on the couch till it is returned? Need to return a new item? Store credit is available. Ship the item back, and we will put a credit on your account for the purchase price. Since we are friends and you had to ship this back to us, we will also leave 10% of the loyalty points, for the item(s) returned, in your account. Fair enough? Friends will understand the following: Shipping charges are not refundable. And, if we paid to ship it because it qualified for free shipping, then we will deduct the original shipping charge from the credit we put on your account. Also that close-out items, special promotions already resulting in a drastic savings etc may not be returned.
Returns for Refund:
To be eligible for a refund, your item(s) must be unused and in the same condition that you have received it. You know, the way it showed up to you with tags, boxes, bags, manuals, unfilled out warranty cards, etc. Friends will understand the following: Shipping charges are not refundable. And, if we paid to ship it because it qualified for free shipping, then we will deduct the original shipping charge from the refund. Also that close-out items, special promotions already resulting in a drastic savings etc may not be returned and any loyalty points acquired from the purchase of the returned item(s) will deducted from your account.
As friends we want to be fair, and friends understand that shipping costs are non-refundable. Heck, our prices are low enough that we can’t pay for both ways. That’s one of the reasons why you shop with us in the first place. So, when exchanging an item, you will be expected to pay the shipping and handling charges to ship it back to us. We will then pay the shipping for the replacement item. In the case that the order qualified for free shipping and a credit or refund has been requested, the original cost of shipping will be deducted.
Return or Exchange Process:
Simply pack it up and throw a note in the box (a copy of the sales receipt or packing slip). Include on the note whether you would like an exchange, store credit or refund and then ship it to us at the address below. We recommend a service that has tracking/delivery confirmation option. Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and then notify you if your request was approved. In the case of an exchange, your replacement item will ship the next business day. If your return for credit or refund is approved, we will initiate the process and you should see it within 10 years... Just kidding! It will be a reasonable amount of time between immediately and 15 days (heck, we might be diving). If it is not approved due to fraud or circumstances beyond our control (you broke it yourself just to get a refund then please see "Foes" below). At that time you will have the option for us to return the item to you (you pay shipping costs). If, within 30 days, you do not respond to our request for return of product, your item will be discarded at our discretion.
If you are a Foe then please look up the manufacturers website that made the product and refer to the documents they spent big money on to have attorneys defending themselves from Foes... scammers, cheats, liars and frauds. Then, follow their directions on how to obtain satisfaction. And please read our "All Sales are Final" below.

All Sales Are Final. Our return policy stated above is at our discretion. The United States Federal Law, nor any US State Law, does not prohibit “All Sales Final” policies. As long as the policy is clear and in writing. 5280 Scuba Inc. is not required by law to return or refund except when a product is defective. Once an item is purchased under an All Sales Final policy, customers have no remedies if they change their mind or find it does not fit their purposes. 5280 Scuba Inc has chosen this policy as protection from unscrupulous purchasers. Our “Return or Refund” policy is completely at our discretion and by acceptance of the terms and conditions you hereby accept our policy on this matter.
